This guide hub covers the original Roblox experience created by ProtoScrap8790 in 2020. Start by checking the URL: the root Place ID must be 5379293691 and the Universe ID must be 1885139874. That identity check prevents instructions for a newer same-name game, the discontinued sequel, or Return to Animatronica from sending you to the wrong menu or map.

The official description is only “May be updated again,” so useful play guidance has to distinguish confirmed Roblox records from historical player footage. You can safely rely on the creator, IDs, 20-player limit, two known places, and 30 official badges. Exact controls, current combat behavior, badge triggers, mobile input, and progression still need a live session because public first-party text does not document them.

Choose the right starting guide

If your immediate goal is a character, use the Characters Dex. If a lock is tied to a badge, use the Badges Dex and read the family page before following an old video. For joining another person or checking an empty server list, go to Multiplayer. For confusion between the original and newer projects, open Versions.

A practical first session

Open the official page and check whether a public server is available. If Roblox shows a Play button, launch from that page rather than from a copied link. Once loaded, pause long enough to read the current UI. Look for a character selector, health display, action buttons, badge or unlock feedback, settings, and any server or player list. The placement can change, so the live labels matter more than an old screenshot.

Choose a character already available to your account. Do not assume a locked portrait is broken merely because an old video shows it in a roster; unlock state can be account-specific or badge-driven. Move in an open area first, then activate one action at a time while watching its range, recovery, and effect. This simple approach tells you more than memorizing keys from footage recorded years earlier.

When you encounter another character or enemy, test from a safe distance. Note whether actions target automatically, require facing, affect other players, or only affect non-player enemies. If defeat returns you to a selection area, check whether the same character and unlocks remain available. These observations help separate a combat failure from a loading or save problem.

Character and badge progression

The official badge inventory is the strongest public record of the unlock roster. It includes Balloon Boy, JJ, four Withered characters, Puppet, six Phantom characters, Spring-trap, Shadow Freddy, Shadow Bonnie, Golden Freddy, two Endo records, four individual Nightmare characters, Funtime Foxy, several paired unlocks, Crying Child, and Paper pals.

A badge record confirms its official name, ID, description, enabled state, and award statistics. It does not reveal the current trigger. Historical videos can show where players went in an older build, but a route should be treated as a lead until the badge notification appears in the current Place. The Badges hub organizes all 30 records and explains how to tell a successful award from a character-selection change.

After earning a badge, return to the character-selection area or rejoin if the roster does not refresh. Confirm the badge on your Roblox profile before repeating the route. If the badge exists on your account but the character remains locked, record whether the server was old, the selection screen failed to refresh, or the badge no longer maps to a playable slot. Those are different problems.

Combat without invented controls

Roblox classifies the original experience as Fighting, and historical gameplay videos visibly show players controlling animatronic characters in an explorable environment. That supports a movement-and-combat loop, but it does not establish the current keyboard, controller, or touch bindings. Read the live buttons, Roblox’s in-experience help, and any on-screen cooldowns before relying on a fixed control list.

The safest learning order is movement, one basic action, range, recovery, incoming damage, and defeat. Change only one variable at a time. If an action seems ineffective, check facing and distance before deciding it is disabled. If an attack affects another player, use a quiet area rather than interrupting a group. The Combat Guide turns this into a repeatable practice route.

Playing with friends

Roblox’s normal friend-join flow applies when the friend allows joins and the experience permits the connection. Open the friend’s profile and use Join Experience when it appears. Both players should compare the game title and Place ID after loading. A matching title is not enough because several experiences use similar names.

The official record allows up to 20 players and does not allow the creation of VIP servers. That means a private-server plan should not be assumed. If a friend join fails, check privacy permissions, server capacity, and whether the player moved to an internal place. The Join Friends guide covers a clean retry sequence.

Mobile and changing availability

Roblox itself supports current iOS, iPadOS, Android, and selected Fire devices that meet its published requirements. That platform support does not guarantee that this older experience exposes every control correctly on a touchscreen. The Mobile guide separates the Roblox app requirement from the game-specific test: loading, movement, camera, action buttons, text size, and reconnect behavior.

Public availability can also change during the day. A zero-player snapshot is not proof that the experience is permanently closed. If no public server is listed, use the Server Status guide to distinguish an empty server browser, a disabled Play button, a join error, and a client problem.

Historical gameplay reference

This 2020 video is useful for recognizing the original project’s visual style and its animatronic exploration. Treat its interface and mechanics as historical, then compare them with the current live build.

Historical community footage, not a current official tutorial. Confirm every input and route in Place 5379293691.

Continue by task

Start with How to Play if you have not loaded the game before. Use Official Links if search results are sending you to different creators. Move to Characters and Badges for unlock tracking, or Versions Comparison to identify a screenshot or video. Check Updates for the dated official metadata snapshot rather than treating the title’s [Last Update] tag as a patch note.
